SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Pinckney Hugo Group, a full-service marketing communications firm, was awarded two Best in Class Awards by the Interactive Media Awards™ for its work on the Lance and NBT Bank websites. The Best in Class Award recognizes websites that surpass basic standards of excellence and comprise the web’s most professional work. The sites were honored in the food/beverage and banking categories.
Pinckney Hugo Group created Lance.com to support Lance’s brand identity, which targets on-the-go parents who are looking for nutritious and convenient snacks for their children, and the company’s ongoing “This Is How We Sandwich” marketing campaign. The site’s homepage features “The Awesome Wall,” which has the capability to automatically display the brand’s newest social media content in real-time. Several interactive games are available on the site including “Lunch Generator 3000,” where players spin for a lunch idea and a chance to win coupons.
The agency designed and developed NBTBank.com to educate customers about the bank’s three core services: personal banking, business and commercial banking, and wealth management. Several of the site’s features include easy-to-use drop-down power navigation, a fraud information center and an innovative branch locator to help users find the closest physical NBT Bank branch or ATM. An intuitive slider on the personal banking homepage also gives visitors the ability to control what content is displayed so they can learn more about the bank’s capabilities and offerings.
The Interactive Media Awards is an international awards competition that was started in 2006. Each year the awards honor the best website designs in a multitude of categories throughout the year and are designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet. Judging criteria includes design, usability, innovation in technical features, standards compliance and content. In order receive recognition as Best in Class, sites must meet strict guidelines in each area — an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each quarter.
